Second Stage Round 5: Dijon - B.Muenchen 74-84

Everything went according to plan when leader German Bayern Muenchen (5-0) won against on the road bottom-ranked French JDA Dijon (1-4) 84-74 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayern Muenchen. JDA Dijon was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayern Muenchen made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Bayern Muenchen outrebounded JDA Dijon 32-20 including 19 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian Dusko Savanovic (204-83, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. American center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Canadian-Trinidad and Tobago Kris Joseph (202-88, college: Syracuse) produced 13 points and American Andre Harris (201-85, college: Fair Dickinson) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending German champion maintains first place in Group K with 5-0 record. Loser JDA Dijon stay at the bottom position with four games lost. Bayern Muenchen will face Brose Baskets in Bamberg in the next round. JDA Dijon will play on the road against Un.Olimpija in Ljubljana.
