Second Stage Round 6: Strasbourg - Zenit 61-73

Third ranked Russian Zenit (3-3) beat on the road second-best French Strasbourg IG (3-3) 73-61 on Tuesday and booked the place in the eighth-finals. Zenit dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Strasbourg IG's 20. It was a good game for U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. American swingman D.J. Stephens (198-90, college: Memphis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Zenit players scored in double figures. Zenit's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 16 points and American point guard Louis Campbell (190-79, college: Buffalo) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Strasbourg IG. Zenit moved-up to second place in Group G.
