But Le Mans were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Las Palmas 79-74 on Tuesday night. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-74. Slovenian center Alen Omic (217-92) stepped up and scored 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Dominican forward Eulis Baez (201-82, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. G.Canaria 2014's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) responded with 17 points and 6 assists and power forward Petr Cornelie (211-95, agency: Comsport) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Five G.Canaria 2014 and four Le Mans players scored in double figures. G.Canaria 2014 will face EnBW Ludwigsburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Le Mans will play against Enel Brindisi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
