Regular Season Round 3: EWE Baskets - Dominion BB 60-94

Very expected game when German EWE Baskets (0-3) were smashed by Spanish Bilbao Basket (2-1) in Oldenburg 94-60 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Bilbao Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bilbao Basket forced 20 EWE Baskets turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Bilbao Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Clevin Hannah (179-87, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 assists. Latvian Dairis Bertans (194-89) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Bilbao Basket players scored in double figures. Dutch-German Robin Smeulders (208-87, college: Portland, agency: Court Side) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) added 9 points in the effort for EWE Baskets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bilbao Basket will face Un.Olimpija (#5) in Ljubljana in the next round. EWE Baskets will play at home against JSF Nanterre and hope to get finally their first victory.
