Regular Season Round 1: TTT Riga - Orduspor 75-69

TTT Riga used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ordu 75-69 on Thursday night. Orduspor was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of TTT Riga, which allowed them to win the game. TTT Riga outrebounded Orduspor 36-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American forward Kristen Mann (185-83, college: UCSB, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import point guard Sydney Carter (170-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Ronsport) contributed with 19 points and 5 steals for the winners. TTT Riga's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American D'Andra Moss (178-88, college: VCU) answered with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian Jelena Milovanovic (190-89) added 20 points in the effort for Orduspor. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TTT Riga will face Udominate (#4) in Umea in the next round. Orduspor will play at home against Basket Landes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
