Regular Season Round 5: Enel Brindisi - ALBA 68-72

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Italian Enel Brindisi (0-5) was defeated at home by second ranked German ALBA Berlin (4-1) 72-68 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-68. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) who scored 18 points. Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. ALBA Berlin's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American-Jamaican swingman Durand Scott (196-90, college: Miami, FL) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. They have a solid series of four victories in a row. ALBA Berlin keeps a position of Group B leader, which they share with G.Canaria 2014. Loser Enel Brindisi still closes the standings with five games lost. ALBA Berlin will face EnBW Ludwigsburg (#4) at home in the next round. Enel Brindisi will play against Grissin Bon RE and hopes to get finally their first victory.
