Regular Season Round 5: Steaua CSM - Buducnost 81-75

Date: November 11, 2015
There was a small surprise in Bucuresti where sixth ranked Romanian Steaua CSM (2-3) defeated 4th placed Montenegrin Buducnost (2-3) 81-75 on Wednesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Buducnost won third quarter 25-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Bill Amis (206-87, college: Hawaii) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) chipped in 18 points. Four Steaua CSM players scored in double figures. American-Montenegrin point guard Omar-Sharif Cook (186-82, college: St.John's, agency: Beo Basket) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Octagon Europe) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Steaua CSM moved-up to fifth place in Group D, which they share with Banvit BK. Steaua CSM will face league's leader Unics Kazan at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buducnost will play against Banvit BK in Balikesir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
