Regular Season Round 3: Nantes - PINKK-Pecsi 88-57

There was no surprise when Hungarian PINKK-Pecsi (0-3) was crushed on the road by French Nantes Reze (3-0) 88-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Nantes Reze. PINKK-Pecsi was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nantes Reze looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by PINKK-Pecsi's players. The best player for the winners was Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92, college: Marquette) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. Nantes Reze's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was British power forward Chantelle Handy (188-87, college: Marshall) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and Swedish forward Binta Drammeh (180-92) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Nantes Reze will face Venezia (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. PINKK-Pecsi will play against TSV 1880 Wasserburg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
