Regular Season Round 6: Banvit BK - Buducnost 76-68

Everything could happen in Balikesir at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Turkish Banvit BK and one of their biggest challengers Montenegrin Buducnost had identical 2-3 record. This time Banvit BK used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Podgorica 76-68 on Wednesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Buducnost won third quarter 21-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Banvit BK dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Buducnost's 20. Banvit BK forced 19 Buducnost turnovers. It was a good game for French Adrien Moerman (203-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. Slovenian center Gasper Vidmar (211-87) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Banvit BK players scored in double figures. Bosnian-Montenegrin swingman Suad Sehovic (196-87) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points in the effort for Buducnost. Banvit BK (3-3) moved-up to third place in Group D, which they share with Trabzonspor. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Banvit BK will face league's second-placed Unics Kazan on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Buducnost will play against the pool's leader Aris (#1) and hope to win that game.
