Regular Season Round 4: Wasserburg - PINKK-Pecsi 72-55

There was no surprise when 4th ranked Hungarian PINKK-Pecsi (0-4) lost on the road to second ranked German TSV 1880 Wasserburg (3-1) 72-55 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by TSV 1880 Wasserburg. PINKK-Pecsi was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PINKK-Pecsi to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded PINKK-Pecsi 40-21 including a 27-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-88, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four TSV 1880 Wasserburg players scored in double figures. American center Jewel Tunstull (190-92, college: Northeastern, agency: Two Points) replied with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Swedish forward Binta Drammeh (180-92) added 17 points and 5 steals in the effort for PINKK-Pecsi. Defending German champion keeps a position of Group E leader, which they share with Nantes. Loser PINKK-Pecsi still closes the standings with four games lost. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will face league's leader Nantes Reze on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PINKK-Pecsi will play against Venezia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
