Regular Season Round 9: Un.Olimpija - Dominion BB 63-84

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Spanish Bilbao Basket (7-2) crushed 3rd placed Slovenian Un.Olimpija (4-5) in Ljubljana 84-63 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-63. Bilbao Basket forced 24 Un.Olimpija turnovers. It was a good game for Latvian Dairis Bertans (194-89) who led his team to a victory with 26 points. American guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian Sava Lesic (205-88, agency: Beo Basket) added 10 points in the effort for Un.Olimpija. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bilbao Basket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 7-2 record, which they share with Dolomiti En. TR. Un.Olimpija at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Bilbao Basket will face league's second-placed Dolomiti En. TR in Trento in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Un.Olimpija will play on the road against EWE Baskets in Oldenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
