Regular Season Round 5: Nymburk - Fribourg 79-54

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Czech Basketball Nymburk's (3-2) home victory over 3rd placed Swiss Fribourg (1-4) 79-54 on Thursday. The game without a history. Basketball Nymburk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Fribourg's 26. They outrebounded Fribourg 47-18 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Basketball Nymburk looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Lithuanian power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Basketball Nymburk players scored in double figures. Serbian center Ana Radovic (190-90, agency: LBM Management) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Jazmine Davis (170-15, college: Washington, agency: LBM Management) scored 6 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Basketball Nymburk maintains second place in Group F with 3-2 record having just -5 point less than leader Flying Foxes. Loser Fribourg keeps the third position with four games lost. Basketball Nymburk will face league's leader Basket Landes in Mont de Marsan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fribourg will play at home against PEAC-Pecs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
