Regular Season Round 10: Nancy - Ratiopharm 76-80

There was no surprise when 6th ranked French Sluc Nancy (2-8) was defeated at home by fourth ranked German ratiopharm Ulm (4-6) 80-76 on Tuesday. Sluc Nancy was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 11-point lead after three quarters before a 31-16 charge of ratiopharm Ulm, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Da'Sean Butler (201-88, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 13 points during the contest. ratiopharm Ulm's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Derwin Kitchen (194-86, college: Florida St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman James Bell (198-92, college: Villanova) scored 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four ratiopharm Ulm and five Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Despite that victory ratiopharm Ulm went down to fifteenth position (Group C) due to points difference. Loser Sluc Nancy dropped to the eighteenth place with eight games lost.
