Regular Season Round 10: AEK Athens - Neptunas 75-71

There was a minor upset when 32th ranked Lithuanian Neptunas (6-4) were defeated on the road by 35th ranked Greek AEK Athens (5-5) 75-71 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. AEK Athens made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Neptunas only scored ten points from the stripe. Neptunas were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) scored 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (203-85, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke) responded with 22 points and 9 assists and forward Donatas Zavackas (203-80, college: Pittsburgh) scored 11 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. AEK Athens moved-up to 34th place in Group F, which they share with Hapoel J-M. Loser Neptunas keep the 32th position with four games lost.
