]Spartak Vidnoye was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Ashdod 71-60 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. Spartak Vidnoye was better in fourth quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maccabi Ashdod dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Vidnoye's 34. Maccabi Ashdod forced 19 Spartak Vidnoye turnovers. American center Tiffany Jackson (191-85, college: Texas) fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swedish Abdi Farhiya (188-92) chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Croatia Ivana Dojkic (180-97) produced 9 points and 5 assists and American guard Whitney Knight (190-93, college: FGCU) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Spartak Vidnoye's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Maccabi Ashdod will face Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Spartak Vidnoye will play against Cegledi EKK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
