Nantes Reze used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Nymburk 72-62 on Thursday night. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 10 points. Canadian forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92, college: Marquette) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Katia Clanet (187-96) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Nantes Reze players scored in double figures. Russia-Ukrainian center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89) produced 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian center Taisia Udodenko (190-89) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nantes Reze will face Ragusa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Basketball Nymburk will play against Belfius Namur and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
