Regular Season Round 2: Cegledi EKK - Sparta&K MR 62-50

Rather expected game when Russia Spartak Vidnoye (0-2) lost on the road to Hungarian Cegledi EKK (2-0) 62-50 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Cegledi EKK. Spartak Vidnoye was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Spartak Vidnoye to just 7 points in first quarter. Cegledi EKK had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Nora Nagy-Bujdoso (155-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Anna Pachurina (195-95) replied with 6 points and 6 rebounds and Daria Kolosovskaya (182-96, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 12 points and 5 steals in the effort for Spartak Vidnoye. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cegledi EKK will face Maccabi Ashdod on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak Vidnoye will play against Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
