Regular Season Round 3: Lulea Basket - Udominate 67-73

Lulea Basket was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Umea 73-67 on Thursday night. Lulea Basket trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 29-18 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 67-73 at the end of the game. Udominate made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Latvia center Zenta Melnika (197-91) who led her team to a victory scoring 9 points and 14 rebounds. Lithuania point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92) helped adding 18 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was FYR Macedonia forward Jelena Antic (187-91, college: Liberty) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Udominate will face Flammes in Charleville in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lulea Basket will play at home against TSV 1880 Wasserburg and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
