Regular Season Round 5: Flammes - Lulea Basket 79-47

Everything went according to plan when leader French Flammes (5-0) outplayed 4th placed Swedish Lulea Basket (0-5) in Charleville 79-47 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Flammes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lulea Basket to just 6 points in second quarter. Flammes forced 19 Lulea Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Lulea Basket's players. American forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (180-93, college: Connecticut) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points. Kadidia Minte (186-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Anna Barthold (185-80, college: St.Peter's) added 4 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lulea Basket. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Flammes. They maintain first place in Group H with 5-0 record. Lulea Basket lost their fifth game in a row. Defending Swedish champion still closes the standings with five games lost. Flammes will face league's second-placed TSV 1880 Wasserburg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lulea Basket will play against Udominate in Umea and hopes to get finally their first victory.
