Rather expected game when 4th placed Portuguese Uniao Sportiva (0-5) lost on the road to second ranked German Gruner Stern Keltern (3-2) 73-62 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. Uniao Sportiva was better in third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gruner Stern Keltern made 7 blocks. American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian Maja Vucurovic (187-91, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
