Regular Season Round 6: PEAC-Pecs - PINKK-Pecsi 71-48

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked PEAC-Pecs' (3-3) home victory over 4th ranked PINKK-Pecsi (0-6) 71-48 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by PEAC-Pecs. PINKK-Pecsi was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PINKK-Pecsi to just 2 points in second quarter. PEAC-Pecs forced 21 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers and outrebounded them 31-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian power forward Egle Siksniute (198-91) chipped in 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Slovenian guard Katarina Ristic (170-84, agency: Two Points) with 15 points and 4 assists and power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Wasserburg and Udominate. Loser PINKK-Pecsi still closes the standings with six games lost.
