Basket Landes used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Cegled 70-69 on Wednesday night. Cegledi EKK was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 22-17 charge of Basket Landes, which allowed them to win the game. Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) fired 25 points and 4 steals for the winners. Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian center Jelena Maksimovic (191-82) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and DR Congolese forward Chanel Mokango (196-88, college: Mississippi St., agency: ProDep Management) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. Basket Landes will face Argon Uni Girona on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cegledi EKK will play against Gernika and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
