Regular Season Round 3: Venezia - KP Brno 83-52

Rather expected game when Czech KP Brno (0-3) was crushed on the road by Italian Venezia (3-0) 83-52 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Venezia. KP Brno was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KP Brno to just 7 points in first quarter. Venezia forced 19 KP Brno turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Slovakian center Marie Ruzickova (190-86, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian-Italian guard Milica Micovic (182-84, agency: SPORTlab Agency) helped adding 9 points. Venezia's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was center Edita Sujanova (190-85) with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Gabriela Andelova (173-96) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Venezia will face Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KP Brno will play against TSV 1880 Wasserburg and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
