Regular Season Round 3: Nantes - Hainaut 69-66

There was a minor upset when Hainaut (1-2) was edged on the road by Nantes Reze (1-2) 69-66 on Wednesday. Hainaut was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 26-22 charge of Nantes Reze, which allowed them to win the game. Nantes Reze outrebounded Hainaut 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Serbian-French Lidija Turcinovic (184-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) with 14 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian Egle Sulciute (190-85) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Hainaut's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nantes Reze will face Belfius Namur on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hainaut will play against UNI Gyor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
