Regular Season Round 4: PEAC-Pecs - Keltern 69-67

Date: November 1, 2017
A very interesting game took place in Pecs. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers German Gruner Stern Keltern (1-3) to fourth ranked Hungarian PEAC-Pecs (1-3) 69-67 in the fight for the third place. Gruner Stern Keltern was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 19-13 charge of PEAC-Pecs, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and guard Krisztina Raksanyi (180-91) supported her with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Five PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. Even 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of her seven free throws) by American guard Amber Orrange (170-93, college: Stanford, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Gruner Stern Keltern. Polish-German power forward Agnieszka Fikiel (194-87) added 12 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PEAC-Pecs left bottom position moving up to third place in Group F, which they share with Keltern. It was Gruner Stern Keltern's third loss in a row. PEAC-Pecs' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Miskolc at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gruner Stern Keltern will play against the league's leader Flammes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
