Regular Season Round 4: Grissin Bon RE - Hapoel J-M 61-63

A very interesting game took place in Reggio Emilia. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Italian Grissin Bon RE (2-2) to fifth ranked Israeli Hapoel Jerusalem (1-3) 63-61 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grissin Bon RE. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Hapoel Jerusalem made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. The other American import forward Austin Daye (211-88, college: Gonzaga, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Amedeo Della-Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) replied with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American forward Jalen Reynolds (208-92, college: Xavier) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Grissin Bon RE. Defending Israeli champion maintains fifth position in Group B with 1-3 record. Grissin Bon RE at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Galatasaray (#6) in Istanbul. Grissin Bon RE will play on the road against the league's leader Bayern Muenchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
