Everything went according to plan in Beograd where leader Russian Lokomotiv (5-0) won against bottom-ranked Serbian Partizan (1-4) 93-83 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-83. The best player for the winners was American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (181-89, college: Wichita St.) who scored 23 points and 5 assists. Swingman Dmitrii Kulagin (197-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Lokomotiv's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Nigel Williams-Goss (191-94, college: Gonzaga) added 18 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts.
