Regular Season Round 5: Levallois - Cedevita 91-81

There was a minor upset when 4th placed Croatian Cedevita (2-3) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked French Paris-Levallois (1-4) 91-81 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 50-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Paris-Levallois shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Remi Lesca (181-90) who scored 21 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) chipped in 21 points. Four Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. American forward Demetris Nichols (202-84, college: Syracuse) produced 19 points and Bosnian-Croatian center Andrija Stipanovic (209-86, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Cedevita's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Paris-Levallois left bottom position moving up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Andorra. Defending Croatian champion Cedevita keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Paris-Levallois will face league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cedevita will play on the road against Fiat TO in Torino and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
