Regular Season Round 6: Darussafaka - Levallois 100-67
Date: November 15, 2017
Very expected game when 6th ranked French Paris-Levallois (1-5) were smashed by top-ranked Turkish Darussafaka (6-0) in Istanbul 100-67 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Paris-Levallois' 38. It was a good game for American guard Scottie Wilbekin (188-93, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 assists. The other American import power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) contributed with 17 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Darussafaka's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Boris Diaw (203-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Roderick Odom (206-91, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) added 16 points in the effort for Paris-Levallois. Darussafaka have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 6-0 record. Loser Paris-Levallois keep the sixth place with five games lost. Darussafaka will face Cedevita (#3) in Zagreb in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Paris-Levallois will play at home against the league's second-placed Unics Kazan and hope to win that game.
