Regular Season Round 6: Grissin Bon RE - Buducnost 77-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (3-3) against fourth ranked Italian Grissin Bon RE (3-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting Buducnost was defeated by Grissin Bon RE in a tough game in Reggio Emilia 71-77. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Grissin Bon RE made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. American power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Georgian Manuchar Markoishvili (197-86) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Grissin Bon RE players scored in double figures. Even 20 points by Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88) did not help to save the game for Buducnost. Point guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Grissin Bon RE moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Lietkabelis. Grissin Bon RE will meet Galatasaray (#6) in the next round. Buducnost will play against Hapoel Jerusalem (#5) and hope to secure a win.
