Regular Season Round 6: Lokomotiv - Limoges 81-55

An interesting game for Russian Lokomotiv (6-0) which hosted in Krasnodar 4th ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (2-4). Top-ranked Lokomotiv had an easy win 81-55. The game was mostly controlled by Lokomotiv. Limoges CSP Elite was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lokomotiv dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Limoges CSP Elite's 24. They outrebounded Limoges CSP Elite 40-19 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lokomotiv looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Australian-Dutch forward Ryan Broekhoff (197-90, college: Valparaiso) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Trevor Lacey (188-91, college: N.Carolina St.) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. Lokomotiv's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard Dru Joyce (182-85, college: Akron) replied with 14 points and his fellow American import point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Lokomotiv have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group C with 6-0 record. Loser Limoges CSP Elite keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Lokomotiv will face league's second-placed ALBA Berlin on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges CSP Elite will play against RETAbet BB and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
