Regular Season Round 5: Nantes - UNI Gyor 60-64

We should not miss a road victory of fourth ranked Hungarian UNI Gyor (2-3) over 3rd placed French Nantes Reze (1-4) 64-60. It looked good early as Nantes Reze took a 14-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then UNI Gyor took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. The best player for the winners was Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-93, college: UCLA) who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Zsofia Simon (181-89, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian-French Lidija Turcinovic (184-94) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. UNI Gyor moved-up to third place in Group J. Nantes Reze at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. UNI Gyor's next round opponent will be league's leader Belfius Namur on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nantes Reze will play against the league's second-placed Hainaut in Saint-Amand and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
