Regular Season Round 5: Sparta&K MR - MBA 88-59

There was a minor upset when second-ranked MBA (2-3) was outscored on the road by fourth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (2-3) 88-59 on Thursday. The game without a history. Spartak Vidnoye led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Spartak Vidnoye forced 20 MBA turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Spartak Vidnoye especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. MBA was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Daria Kolosovskaya (182-96, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Anna Leshovceva (181-87) answered with 21 points and point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for MBA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Spartak Vidnoye moved-up to third place in Group C, which they share with defeated MBA. Spartak Vidnoye will face league's second-placed Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBA will play on the road against the league's leader Udominate in Umea and hope to win that game.
