Regular Season Round 6: Artego Bydg. - Sparta&K MR 69-58

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Polish Artego Bydg. as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group C. Artego Bydg. defeated 3rd ranked Russian Spartak Vidnoye in Bydgoszcz 69-58. The game was mostly controlled by Artego Bydg.. Spartak Vidnoye managed to win second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Artego Bydg. made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American-Polish point guard Julie McBride (163-82, college: Syracuse) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer ONeill (165-90, college: Kentucky) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Adelina Abaiburova (186-95, agency: LBM Management) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Belfius Namur. Spartak Vidnoye at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Nantes.
