Regular Season Round 6: Enisey - Mersin BSB 75-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when second-best Turkish Mersin BSB (4-2) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked Russian Enisey Krasnoyarsk (3-3) 75-70 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Enisey Krasnoyarsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Jacinta Monroe (196-88, college: Florida St.) had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Alexandra Marchenkova (182-94, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Enisey Krasnoyarsk's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Bosnian-Slovenian power forward Marica Gajic (187-95) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and American center Krystal Thomas (195-89, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Enisey Krasnoyarsk moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Hainaut and UNI Gyor. Loser Mersin BSB stay at the bottom position with two games lost.
