Regular Season Round 8: Fiat TO - Levallois 92-86

There was no surprise in Torino where 6th ranked French Paris-Levallois (1-7) were defeated by fourth ranked Italian Fiat TO (4-4) 92-86 on Wednesday. Paris-Levallois trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-92 at the end of the game. Fiat TO made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. Paris-Levallois were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Slovenian Sasha Vujacic (201-84, agency: Interperformances) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Diante Garrett (196-88, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 13 points. Five Fiat TO players scored in double figures. Boris Diaw (203-82) produced 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia, agency: 3Eye) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fiat TO maintains fourth position in Group A with 4-4 record. Paris-Levallois lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Fiat TO will face league's leader Darussafaka in Istanbul in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Paris-Levallois will play at home against Andorra (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
