Regular Season Round 9: Partizan NIS - Limoges 98-101

Important game to mention about took place in Beograd. Fourth ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (5-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Serbian Partizan (1-8) 101-98 on Tuesday evening. Partizan was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Limoges CSP Elite made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Josh Carter (201-88, college: Texas A&M) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Nigel Williams-Goss (191-94, college: Gonzaga) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 assists and point guard Patrick Miller (185-92, college: Tennessee St.) added 26 points in the effort for Partizan. The victory was the third consecutive win for Limoges CSP Elite. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with ALBA and Lietuvos rytas. Loser Partizan keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face league's second-placed Lietuvos rytas in Vilnius in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Partizan will play on the road against the league's leader Lokomotiv (#1) in Krasnodar and hope to win that game.
