Regular Season Round 9: Levallois - Andorra 99-92

Date: December 20, 2017
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Spanish Andorra (3-6) lost on the road to sixth ranked French Paris-Levallois (2-7) 99-92 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 22-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Paris-Levallois shot 60.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Paris-Levallois looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Boris Diaw (203-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Slovenian guard Klemen Prepelic (191-92) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. French point guard Andrew Albicy (177-90) answered with 18 points and 5 assists and point guard Jaime Fernandez (186-93) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Andorra. Five Paris-Levallois and four Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Paris-Levallois maintains sixth place in Group A with 2-7 record. Loser Andorra stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Paris-Levallois will face higher ranked Cedevita (#4) in Zagreb in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andorra will play at home against the league's leader Darussafaka and hope to win that game.
