Not a big story in a game in Istanbul where 6th ranked Israeli Hapoel Jerusalem (2-8) was rolled over by second ranked Turkish Galatasaray (5-5) 87-68 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-68. Galatasaray outrebounded Hapoel Jerusalem 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. American-FYR Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Lior Eliyahu (205-85) responded with 12 points and 6 assists and American swingman Tarence Kinsey (200-84, college: S.Carolina) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Galatasaray went down to eighth position (Group B) due to points difference, which they share with Gran Canaria. Defending Israeli champion Hapoel Jerusalem dropped to the twelfth place with eight games lost.
