Date: December 27, 2017
There was no surprise in Krasnodar where 6th ranked Serbian Partizan (1-9) was outplayed by top-ranked Russian Lokomotiv (10-0) 99-64 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Lokomotiv. Partizan was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Lokomotiv forced 19 Partizan turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Partizan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Pavel Antipov (202-91) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Dmitrii Kulagin (197-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Lokomotiv players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian Vanja Marinkovic (198-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 15 points and American guard Nigel Williams-Goss (191-94, college: Gonzaga) scored 11 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
