Regular Season Round 1: Germani BR - Monaco 68-80

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Italian Germani BR (0-1) in Brescia on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by French Monaco (1-0) 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Germani BR managed to win second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and guard Paul Lacombe (190-90, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Germani BR's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Monaco will meet at home Crvena Zvezda (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Germani BR will play against Andorra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
