Very predictable result when Spanish Valencia Basket (2-0) won against Turkish Turk Telekom (0-2) in Ankara 72-67 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 24-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Belgian point guard Sam Van-Rossom (188-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 8 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia Basket will face Partizan (#3) in Beograd in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Turk Telekom will play on the road against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and hope to win that game.
