No shocking result in a game when French ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (2-1) outleveled at home Turkish Turk Telekom (0-3) 84-63 on Tuesday. The game without a history. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Lithuanian point guard Mantas Kalnietis (196-86, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 assists. Amine Noua (203-97, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Kenny Gabriel (209-89, college: Auburn) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will face Partizan (#5) in Beograd in the next round. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Dolomiti En. TR in Trento and hopes to get finally their first victory.
