Regular Season Round 1: Mersin BSB - OGM Orman 75-70

Mersin BSB used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Ankara 75-70 on Wednesday night. The game without a history. Mersin BSB led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mersin BSB forced 25 Ormanspor turnovers. Strangely Ormanspor outrebounded Mersin BSB 40-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Asena Yalcin (170-91, agency: FlyBasketball) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Bosnian-Serbian swingman Sasa Cadjo (178-89) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Five Mersin BSB players scored in double figures. American forward Kahleah Copper (185-94, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) answered with 24 points and the other American import center Aneika Henry-Morello (193-86, college: Florida) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Ormanspor. Ormanspor's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mersin BSB will face Sf.Gheorghe (#3) in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ormanspor will play at home against Enisey Krasnoyarsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
