Regular Season Round 6: Cedevita - Limoges 91-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (2-4) against fourth ranked Croatian Cedevita (3-3) on Wednesday night. Visiting Limoges CSP Elite was crushed by Cedevita in Zagreb 91-71. The game was mostly controlled by Cedevita. Limoges CSP Elite was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cedevita looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Elgin Cook (197-93, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Justin Cobbs (191-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Cedevita players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) with 9 points and 5 rebounds and William Howard (202-93) scored 11 points. Limoges CSP Elite's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending Croatian champion moved-up to third place in Group B. Loser Limoges CSP Elite dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Cedevita will face league's leader ALBA Berlin on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges CSP Elite will play against the league's second-placed Lokomotiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
