Regular Season Round 3: A3 Basket - Cukurova 54-91

There was no surprise in Umea where Swedish A3 Basket (0-3) was crushed by Turkish Cukurova (3-0) 91-54 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Cukurova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cukurova outrebounded A3 Basket 38-22 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by A3 Basket's players. The best player for the winners was Senegalese-Spanish center Astou Ndour (198-94, agency: ProDep Management) who scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Ukrainian swingman Alina Iagupova (186-92, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Cukurova's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was German center Ama Degbeon (188-95, college: Florida St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American-French forward Alyssa Lawrence (185-95, college: Massachusetts) added 12 points respectively. Cukurova will face Beroe (#3) in Stara Zagora in the next round, which may be the game of the day. A3 Basket will play on the road against Botas in Adana and hopes to get finally their first victory.
