Regular Season Round 4: Niki Lefkadas - Galatasaray 64-69

Rather expected game when 4th ranked Greek Niki Lefkadas (0-4) lost at home to second ranked Turkish Galatasaray (3-1) 69-64 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 38-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for American power forward Victoria Macaulay (193-90, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import point guard Moriah Jefferson (170-94, college: Connecticut) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Jade Walker (187-95, college: St.John's) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Elena Tsineke (175-99) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Niki Lefkadas. Four Niki Lefkadas players scored in double figures. Galatasaray keeps a position of Group B leader. Loser Niki Lefkadas still closes the standings with four games lost. Galatasaray will face league's second-placed Energa Torun at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niki Lefkadas will play against MBA in Moscow and hope to get finally their first victory.
