Regular Season Round 4: KP Brno - Miskolc 70-83

There was no surprise when 4th ranked Czech KP Brno (1-3) lost at home to second ranked Hungarian Miskolc (3-1) 83-70 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-70. Miskolc dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to KP Brno's 42. Miskolc forced 22 KP Brno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by KP Brno's players. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian Egle Sulciute (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) contributed with 8 points, 16 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Miskolc's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Edita Sujanova (190-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and center Aneta Mainclova (191-96) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for KP Brno. Four KP Brno players scored in double figures. Miskolc keeps a position of Group G leader. Loser KP Brno stay at the bottom place with three games lost. Miskolc will face Nantes Reze (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KP Brno will play against the league's second-placed Venezia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
