Regular Season Round 4: Telge - Sparta&K MR 70-91

The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Russian Spartak Vidnoye's (2-1) road victory over bottom-ranked Swedish Telge (0-3) 91-70 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-70. Spartak Vidnoye looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Telge's players. It was a very good performance for forward Adelina Abaiburova (186-95, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Denesha Stallworth (191-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Spartak Vidnoye players scored in double figures. Spartak Vidnoye's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Klara Lundquist (173-99) replied with 32 points and forward Mikaela Gustafsson (186-93, college: Maine) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Telge. Spartak Vidnoye keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Gorzow Wlkp. and Artego Bydg. Loser Telge still closes the standings with three games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will face league's second-placed AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in Gorzow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Telge will play on the road against the league's leader Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
