There was no surprise when 4th placed Belarusian Tsmoki-Minsk (1-3) was defeated on the road by first ranked Polish Wisla Krakow (3-1) 77-69 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-69. Wisla Krakow made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Wisla Krakow outrebounded Tsmoki-Minsk 38-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Spanish guard Leonor Rodriguez-Manso (180-91, college: Florida St.) stepped up and scored 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and Spanish forward Maria Conde (187-97, college: Florida St.) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. American Danielle McCray (186-87, college: Kansas) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Czech guard Lenka Bartakova (175-91) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Wisla Krakow maintains first place in Group C with 3-1 record. Tsmoki-Minsk lost third consecutive game. Defending Belarusian champion stay at the bottom position with three games lost. Wisla Krakow will face league's second-placed Besiktas in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tsmoki-Minsk will play at home against Inventa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
